Some Knoxville area gamers are getting together to play the Conquest of Lustria campaign. The campaign will be posted here with updates of the Mighty Empires board as well as the occasional battle report. At the end we'll review this player created campaign and give our thoughts on improvements to be made to run your own.

Conquest of Lustria (13.7Mb pdf)

We're doing a couple of things differently than in this PDF: Our generals army will be 2500 pts while the captains armies will be 2000pt. We have also changed it so that you cannot challenge across the board, only to adjacent tiles.

I'll get my 2500pt list up tonight.

Looks like our first turn is set for Tomorrow night. I'll try to at least get the flags colored and the board basecoated by then.

TURN 1

Small flags represent the 2000pt armies. Big ones the 2500pts.

Turn 1, Necron Bob and Ralara could have fought but chose not to in the interest of us all being able to get a game in.

Necron Bob: 35 gold total, 1 Relic

Ralara: 38 Gold, 6 Relics, places extra mine

Kalumdi: 33 Gold, 10 Relics, places extra mine

TURN 2

Necron Bob:
Locates a Gold Wizards summer home in the forest. His Dragon mage permanently learns Searing doom.
He goes to war with Ralara at the Vale of the Slumbering Titan and is victorious.
Between his mines, his victory in battle and his completed battle objectives he gets: +101 Gold and 2 Relics, also acquiring an ancient artifact from the battle site "Delmonte's Blessed Morian" (character wielding it gets +1as and MR1).

Ralara:
Ralara gets a discount on all purchases this turn of -10g and -1r.
After learning of their armies defeats in the Vale of the Slumbering Titan, Ralara's mine workers go on strike and due to maintenance issues, both of his mines collapse.
The realm only manages to produce 36 Gold and 3 relics this turn but one of Ralara's scouts finds the Cursed Bazaar of Saib Samad in the deep rainforest. He quickly purchases Shoguns Kabuto (-7R, -60G) (Bearer gains +2WS, +2BS, +2I, +2A, Extended Inspiring Presence) from the Infamous Saib before the merchant slinks off back into the jungle, leaving a taste of sulfur in the air.
Hiring a roaming Goblin Prospector for 10 gold helps Ralara get his mine back up and running.

Kalumdi:
Kalumdis forces encounter Mawhonics large army at the Vale of the Slumbering Titan (shortly after the previous battle). Despite being heavily outnumbered, Kalumdi's forces drive back the Nurgle plague. Luck is on their side when all the Plaguebearers are sucked back into the warp, called by Papa Nurgle for some menial task. His mines and victory in battle net his empire 48 Gold and 5 Relics.

Mawhonic:
Despite his defeat at the hands of the local fauna, Mawhonic manages to seize an objective in the field of battle and gains the Cowl of the Dragonmaster Exile (Bearer gails +1A and +1I).
In a catastrophic accident, warpflame engulfs one of his mines, killing all inside and collapsing it. Only 21 Gold and 2 Relics are produced this turn.

Necron Bob: 136 gold, 3 Relics, 8 tiles
Ralara: 4 Gold, 2 Relics, 7 tiles

Mawhonic: 45 Gold, 3 Relics, 7 tiles

I wasn't able to make it up to Knoxville this week (and I'm going out of town tonight).  I'll have to take a forfeit in my game this week.

(and I still can't text you, Jay).

What's the plan this week, fellows?  I have to be in Nashville on Wednesday, but I should be free otherwise.  If we are taking a week off, I could get my game in against Ralara (otherwise, I'll just forfeit last weeks and we can pick up this week).
